Artloupe.org -- a cool new app for artists and art buyers

Well, for about a week now I've been using a cool new tool/app for artists: http://www.artloupe.org.

They have apps for both iOS & Android, and based on my conversations with technical support they will be further developing their website to include the same artist posting tools that their apps provide, plus a “showcase area” on the website for their member artists' works.

In short, the artloupe apps allows people to browse, discover, publish, sell, and buy art more easily and creatively.

You're probably thinking O.K., so what, what's new.... that's what they all say. Well, there are two neat features in this app that I have not found elsewhere in similar, but more limited apps (well,I have seen #2 implemented elsewhere, but not as nicely – especially when you take into account the whole nicely integrated package..

1.) The first neat-o feature is “Syndication”. This allows the posting artist to not only post their work to the artloupe community, but to also simultaneously (if they wish) post to other sites the artist might be using; namely: eBay, Etsy, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, and Pinterest. (They may add others in the future based on user requests and the API & policies of other sites). [A cool option here I think would be for them to add steemit to their posting options, so all you “steemit artists” out there, go get on artloupe and ask for steemit post/syndication integration. Also, just like steemit, and other communities, the more people use it, the more interesting and powerful it becomes.]

2.) The second neat feature is for buyers; using the camera on your smartphone, the app includes the ability for buyers to see what the art might look like on their own wall, or otherwise in their own space if it's a statue or something.

Well, that's the short of it. I recommend that if you're an artist that you head over to artloupe.org and check out the site; then download the app to your smartphone, and start “louping”. :-)
