Hey Everyone
Well it's eleven more days until Christmas and today I wanted to share one of the Christmas paintings I completed from the past. Every year I like to catch the Christmas spirit by completing a Christmas painting or two.
This Christmas is coming awfully quick. It's actually quite a surprise when I think about it, 11 more days, can you believe it?. I've been in my art studio so much lately lately that days just seem to fly by! Are you experiencing that too?
The title is "Christmas Present" 16*20 Oil on Canvas
When I painted this I took an impressionist approach with the pine trees, probably the kind of Christmas trees you would find surrounding one of the many cottages in Santa's village up in the North pole.
When I say many cottages up at the North Pole I mean lots, you would probably be surprised. Real estate prices have just gone through the roof up there recently! I was shock to see it last time I was there!
Anyway this painting was actually completed for the Christmas of 2010. This painting hangs in our dining room throughout the year.
It's one of my favorite Christmas paintings that I've done due to the light pastel feel and the bright candy-cane cottage that either Santa lives in or one of his helpers!
Anyway I Wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and as always be safe out there and thanks for looking!
Wow excellent picture I like this

Wow, this is an amazing work of art! I know you said it was from years ago, but I do have just one small bit of advice for your future paintings that you post on here. I think you could gain more views on them if you actually included an explanation of the process that you went through to create it! Here is an awesome guide on how you should be posting your artwork in order to increase its "quality" in terms of the Steemit community's "unspoken standards." I hope that helps! Keep up the great artwork!
Also, I've noticed that your profile is still blank, despite having been shot up to a reputation of 51. Here is a guide to setting up your profile, it should help you start to gain more of a real following on here once people know who you are and can see what you're about! :)
Hey Thank you for the advice it's really appreciated and I definitely working towards that. As far as explaining the process, I've been doing that for each piece that I have taken pictures of during the process. I don't have a lot of paintings that I've taken pictures of several times while painting it but I do have some and from now on I'm going to make it a practice.
I'll definitely read the guide and fill out the profile and I'm working on an introduction post. Right now I have three paintings that I've posted the process, The bus Chirstmas painting and Enchanted River #2 and #3. There is pictures of the process but not necessarily explanation of the process.
Thanks again and I truly appreciate your advice!!
That is beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Following in hopes that you will post more of your work. :)
Thank you for following and you can count on it! :)
What a snowy fairy tale!!! Very beautiful colors! This contrast the snowy forest and the warm bright Santa's house is just incredible :)! A real holiday mood from this picture! Thank you very much for sharing !! The Christmas spirit is really here :)!
That's beautiful!
