Hey Steemit!
In the past few months I discovered a new sort of medium, it's not really a new medium but a class of paintings referred to as ACEO or ATC: ACEO = Art Cards Editions and Originals and ATC = Artist Trading Cards.
ACEO and ATC's are miniature original art pieces that are 2.5 by 3.5 inches in total or 6.35 cm by 8.89 cm so they are quite small.
It turns out that there are many collectors who prize these miniature pieces of art work and they are quite popular on eBay as well as Etsy as it turns out.
If you're an artist who would like to get involved in the creation of these art pieces there are only a few "rules" but not many. The main rule is that it must be 2.5 by 3.5 inch or the same in cm mentioned above. Typically if you are creating paintings you want to use #140 weight acid-free archival paper and you can use any medium you are comfortable with.
These paintings are completed with oils, water colors, acrylics, as well as many other mediums such as colored pencils, pens, you name it, there is a collector for it.
Here are a few examples of the ones that I've created and I've sold several on eBay.
These miniature paintings are really fun to paint and serve as an excellent way to create a scene on a small scale as a test for a potential larger paintings.
Thanks for looking and if you have any questions about this class of paintings feel free to ask in the comments below.
To your success as an aspiring artist!

I absolutely love this idea and could definitely see myself collecting them. Your miniature landscapes are lovely! My favorite is the last one with the little fairy houses built into the trees. :)
