Diamond painting project! "Meisje met de parel" Vermeer! (Part 2)How you ruin your project!

Oops, I wanna kill myself right now!

When you are 30+ hours into a project and you ruin the whole thing....Not fun!
I had that this time around with my diamond painting!
The one thing you don't want to happen, happened and I can only blame me, myself and I!
I did not put the protection paper back when I was done the last time I worked on the painting!
And to make things even worse, I threw the paper with the symbol numbers on top of the painting in a hurry!
Yupp, I did that!

Stuck!

The paper somehow was pressed hard into the glue part of the painting! I have no clue what happened to make it that way though. But when I saw it my heart bursted in pain! I wrapped my fingers around the paper and found it stuck! Like really stuck! I cursed, a lot and walked away in anger. Yes, I wanted to hurt myself and slam my head against something hard! My partner saw it all and felt bad for me. He did his best to remove the paper from the glue but there was white paper left onto it!

I thought the project was over! But with a pocket knife, I was able to scrape most of the white paper off. And magical as it might sound, the glue layer was stick sticky as hell! This made me smile because I already started looking for glue solutions etc. I tried a few gems and behold the magic, they sticked perfectly!

Lucky me!

I am so happy right now! I felt so bad about the whole thing that I almost ordered a new painting! I know one thing for sure, this will NEVER happen to me again!

LOL, I know myself! I always need to learn a lesson three times before it works!
