Call of the night!
It has been and still is a hard time in my life. 11 days ago we had to say good bye to my loving Dad after being sick for many years! To deal with emotions I paint and I made this one the day of his cremation.
I also made a special painting for my dad that day and maybe one day I will show that as well.
The call of the night, because I wished my dad a safe trip to the stars where he would finally get his wings!
I used thick watercolor paper and pelican water colors!
Thank you for taking the time to read and watch!

@poeticsnake ~ I send condolences along with my love and healing hugs to you and your family.
Your painting is very powerful. To be honest, I needed to take a step back and breathe before replying to your post. The energy you've painted with is intensely palpable.
I am thankful that your father is in peace, healthy & whole now and watching over you & yours in every moment.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful heart and memorial painting with us.
Big Hugs and Much Love my new friend!
Thank you for your kind words they are much appreciated!
It took me a while before I was able to share this work but I am really glad I did!
I totally know how you feel .. <3
sending very very warm - hotter than this summer cyber hugs in Waarden!
My deepest condolences with your loss. Losing a father is a very painful experience. Your painting is full of meanings and feelings: the loss, eternity and sorrow. I'd like to think that your father is relieved of pain and is watching for your and your loved once. I wish you lot of courage in this difficult experience. Bright blessings.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Painting is a way for me to let go of emotions I would otherwise build up and hold back. I am sure that my Dad is relieved of the pain he had and no longer does he need to struggle. Still, even knowing he is now an angel and pain free it's so hard to let go.
You already know he is now an angel and pain free. It's a first step. Cherish the good memories. The pain will remain but will decrease with time. Take care.
Time heals all wounds they say! The first steps have been made and I will continue to walk on this path for sure! Sadness and loss is part of life!
Thank you for your kind words!
Wow, this is touching. My family has been experiencing so much illness and pain as well. People always share their loss and grief, that it almost feels like everyone who has lost someone becomes a family. We share our pain and love with each other. I can feel it from your art. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind words! Most appreciated!
I always shared pieces of my art that remind me of happy things but like life itself I felt I had to share this one as well.
I am sorry to hear that your family has been experiencing so much illness and pain as well.
I love it. :)
Good to see you coming back around! We've missed you. I'm sorry to hear about your father, but I am happy to know that he is no longer suffering. Much love, @poeticsnake!
Trying to find my way back here a bit more. I missed being here for sure but sometimes life takes a turn.
Thank you for your always kind words and I missed you as well!
Understandable. Life tends to get in the way more times then not.
Just know that we all missed you here, and welcome you back!!!
Thank you so so much!
It really feels good to be back!
