Hello my people greetings from this part of the world, this time focused on Heads, trying to decompose the figure a bit from neo-expressionism.
This work starts from the drawing studying the possibility of generating more noise with the graphite and the colors in turn, first creates an imbalance in terms of the composition since everything is very scattered in the plane, but already to the final I decided to close more colors and in this way to specify and define a little more the image, but at no time moving the base drawing and reinforcing each block of color with graphite giving more prominence to each area and a better reading.
This painting was made at the beginning with the hands directly on the canvas generating more strength and a lack of control over it, I took advantage of this to later close more firmly each colorful block with graphite, it is worth noting the prominence of the white creating negative and positive spaces within the composition.
Creative Process
In the video I show how important it is to define the drawing well before applying the painting, you can also see a small sketch on paper that was the main idea of this work, but when applying the painting it generates another force and that strength is It depends on which object you apply it to, for example I use the fingers and the palm of the hand.
Here I show more details in approach of the work before finishing it.
They can appreciate the force generated and the amount of contrasts found generating harmony between them and it is quite interesting because it is a painting with a strong discourse, which soaks the viewer and makes him enter this chaos.
The decision to close the color or in some way to put it in pigeonhole is simply the desire to give greater prominence to graphite and colored pencils so that they take the course of chaos and thus have a more notorious definition regarding the painting.
