Many remember Miles Davis for his contributions to jazz music, but fewer are familiar with the the man's stunning artwork. Davis focused much of his energy on jazz music until his 50s, but in the latter part of his life, when he had plenty of spare time to fill, the famed jazz musical began to sketch and paint. Over a few years, this art hobby turned into Davis' second career.
Throughout the 1980s, Davis trained with other well known painters such as Jo Gelbard, which helped him produce some stunning visual art pieces:
