Last night, there was a special basketball game. Some finals for the NBA. Toronto's team, the Raptors, was playing some other team, who were wearing blue shirts.
I don't know if you can tell, but I don't know the first thing about basketball. Or any sport. They confuse me. I can see people are very passionate about them. I'm even a little jealous. I rarely feel that intensely about anything.
To me, watching people go crazy about a game is like listening to a heated conversation in a language I don't speak. I get the very basic gist of what's going on from body language, but the nitty gritty parts that excite them are completely lost on me.
Our local sports team lost by 1 point. 105 to 106 or something. Now there's apparently going to be another final game.
I do hope our team wins. I mean, I don't give two shits about sports, but there are enough people who do that a win would be an incredible morale boost in this city - something this city sorely needs.

Raptors v Warriors!
(note: i know nothing about sports either) (LOL)
But I agree, sports fans baffle me, they seem to be very passionate !!!
At least you know the name of the other team! Lol!!
SO passionate, right?! And they call out every tiny action the players make in real time. It's both intense, and bewildering. I spent more time watching everyone else in the room! Lol!
