This piece is 16x20", acrylic on canvas, at 575 CAD.
Tomorrow I'm taking it to Artusiasm (www.artusiasm.com) for the upcoming show they have called "Figuratively Speaking". I have four pieces in the show, and the reception date is Friday. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the opening, since I have to teach that night in the opposite end of the city.
This piece, I made in support of the Women's March, worldwide last year. I didn't participate on foot, due to my phobia of being in crowds, which sounds like a lame excuse, but I really do get panic attacks. Not super conducive to the cause. Anyway, I'm confident that this is a good enough 'in lieu of'.
And then I read today on the twitter machine that #Trumpshutdown and #govtshutdown are trending. Apparently this hasn't happened since '95 or '96 in the US? Our previous prime minister up here, Stephen Harper, shut down parliament a couple times during his awful leadership. We call that proroguing.
Now the Women's march is happening again, 2018 style. Seems pretty good timing to crack this baby out again.

Damn crowds, I'm scared of them. Especially the crowds of zombies or scary clowns :((
