The wolves, known to be ferocious animals, and in the animal world are by nature. But in their herd the male alphas take care of their females, they are excellent parents with their young, and the whole herd is in charge of protecting the newborns and even playing with them.
Wolves and Their Herd
They consist mostly of herds under 20 members. They can easily adapt to a habitat, because of this they can easily change homes. On the other hand, wolves are very intelligent animals and capable of traveling 80 kilometers per meal.
They have a litter a year of approximately 12 puppies and less than half of the pups that are born in a herd survive their first year, this depends on the feed they can provide, if the wolves do not have enough food that totally affects survival of the wolves.
When the young grow up, they can make the decision to leave the herd and be lone wolves until they find another herd or create theirs, mostly the male wolves are the ones that go in search of being leaders.
The life of a wolf, are similar to that of a dog, can live from 6 to 8 years, there have been cases in which a wolf lives for 15 years, but mostly in captivity where it has food and veterinary observation.
Used materials:
• Pen 2H.
• Colored pencils.
• Black marker.
• Black, blue and white paint.
Drawing process:
Start with the sketch of the baby wolf, I added the eyes and the snout.
I added the facial features to the wolf, and then illuminated, added shadows and finished the sketch.
Remarque the sketch, always when you get to this point of the drawing, while I'm marking out details that do not convince me at all.
I began to paint the fur starting with the wolf cub, continuing with the fur of the wolf, each hair was drawn in a zigzag pattern or one by one.
Finish painting the fur and, draw the moon with gray tones and illuminating by painting over white.
I started coloring the background, with black and blue paint.
Then draw on another sheet a mold of the sketch of the moon and the wolves, so as not to stain them when making the stars and the snow.
And finally paint with a brush and white paint the background of stars and snow.
