Stick Figure doods!!!

Just wanted to say thank you guys for sticking with me through out the years that I've been on the blockchain. I just surpassed a thousands followers and I am truly grateful to be supported by such awesome people. The best is still yet to come, so I hope that you guys will still look at the art that I will post in the up coming future. Thank you again.

Whats up guys

After another looong hiatus, I am back once again, sharing another animation I've made for my portfolio. This time, it is 3d stick figures! (✧ω✧) I've been wanting to make another 3d stick figure animation for a very long time. It was, a bit nostalgic for me. I use to make 2d stick figure animations on a program called macro media back in 2009. That, is where it all started, and my passion for animation all together. But enough of that, lets talk about the good ol process. (▼ω▼)

Inspiration

So, my inspiration for this animation, was pretty much old kung fu clips and obviously 2d stick figure animations that I watched back in the day. I also love the Japanese culture. So I wanted the setting of the animation to be set in japan, right by one of the many river banks they have. I thought it would be a cool setting, since I always see it in anime shows (lol). As you can see on the top right corner of the picture, I used some reference to make the scene come into fruition.

Texturing

This process isn't so bad, it's just that keeping everything organized can be a little tricky, since I'm dealing with a lot of other things like materials and png's. So basically to keep it short, I model the fences, the river, and the whole river bank. Then I slap on an image on to the object. The boxes that are connected by the wires are called nodes. You can pretty much do anything to an object, like making it gold or having animated textures. The possibilities or endless. The buildings I've imported are from a website called Sketch Fab, most of the models are free to use, which is pretty cool. I'm able to speed up my work process.

Story Boarding

Pretty self explanatory. I draw out how the scenes will link with each other and what the characters are going to be doing. It's actually the easiest process out of the whole project.

Animating

This is where pure hell starts (╯✧▽✧)╯ When I was story boarding this, I thought that this would be a simple thing to animate, boy was I wrong...I was literally kicking myself because I was already too deep in the rabbits hole. Wait, that sounded wrong. Uhh, anyway, (°ロ°) ! I forgot how hard it was to do combat animation. It's pretty much a back and forth process, taking one character, and animating another. It was indeed a very exhausting process. But, I love it. Because, I wanna make something that will inspire others. I just wanna make something cool. Every time I make something, I get this certain feeling. Conveying it in words isn't really simple. I'm not sure if it's nostalgia or something else. It's almost like, an emotional high. A, flow like mode. Anyway, I'm just happy that I'm finally done, and I'm able to finally show you guys.

3 against 1??? No honor (; ̄Д ̄)

Well, here's my animation, I hope you enjoy it. It took me a little over 2 months to finish it. The render time took about 2 days because I had to render the animation twice. And finally, there's about 4000 frames of animation.

post that I've made like 4 years ago. I hope you check it out. It might give you some ideas for some projects. ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ @hiddenblade this is the animation side of blender. But I really think that you would do very well if you practice with it some more. I have a

And as always, have a good one guys,

That was really good fighting animation! I get what you're saying about the flow of something. When I'm playing my instrument, I find that perfect sense of flow as well.

Keren kali

Wow that's so awesome! It looks so complicated haha but that is as expected as animation isn't easy. Great job on it!

Yeah, it kind of was, but it was fun and stressful to make lol. I'm happy that you like it. :]

Nice! It really turned out so cool.

Thanks man. It was a lot of work. I'm just wondering what I should do next now lol

Please make some Hive promotion videos like this

I can probably do that. I'm just not sure what it will be haha 😅

I watched this when it first released on your YouTube channel recently. It’s such a bad ass scene. God I loved it. I know you put so much time and effort into it. The video turned lit cool as shit.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I just have to find a better way to have a smooth work flow. I'm not gonna lie man, it was pretty stressful. lol

Did you ever imagine way back in the day you'd be kickin' ass at Hive like this?

Duuuude!!! I haven't seen you in a long time. Nah, I didn't think it would end up like this man. Back then it was so different. But I'm glad I was able to talk and meet generous people like you. So, thank you. 😊

I apologize. I'm here but I'm all over the place at the same time. Can't even keep up with myself let alone everyone else but I made it today! And I'm just happy to see the night and day difference between how things were and how things are now.

No need to apologize. A lot of crazy shit happen this past year. I'm glad that you're back and I'm almost glad that I'm still able to talk to the users I've met a few years ago. If you just wanna talk, I'm on discord a lot.

I'm still avoiding Discord like the covid and chat it up randomly like this in comments. PeakD has a chat I've been messing around with a bit as well but it's new, and quiet.

The video you made was awesome. I've made plenty of faces that would wrap well around those stick men heads. Just sayin.

I didn't even know peakd had a chat. I'm might mess around with it too. Discord isn't too bad, but i guess it's also cool chating here. Well, I'm very happy you liked it man. I was thinking about doing faces for the stick figures but sooo much work. 😩

It's been many years since I last dabbled in applying textures to a mesh. And getting the two to gel is probably why full length movies have such massive budgets.

That was awesome! Where were the sound effects from? Sounded a bit familiar some how. :D

That's a lot of frames, damn! And here I'm too lazy to even render gameplay videos and just throw them directly onto youtube, lol.

The sound effects are like 12 years old lol I got them from a guy called pepper or something like that. But the sounds themselves are from call of duty Modern Warfare 1. If you need help with render settings and stuff, just hit me up. 👺👍 And thank very much man.

This is sooooo cool!!!
I have to be the red guy! 😆
The sound effects and the music go really well! Awesome job!

Thank you so much djynn. One of these days I'm gonna go to japan and sit at one of those river banks. 😤👍 I'm glad that you're doing well.

Wow es exelente todo, mas los efectos de sonido, gracias por compartir.
