I can't think of any who've done this directly but I love the textures in Zak Smith's paintings. He recreates photography grain with acrylic and ink and there's loads going on in his work.

Ooh wow, I looked at some of his stuff, I love this maximalist style; I definitely see the influence on you. You should keep exploring salt and ink, I think you may have stumbled upon something really unique and interesting.
Yeah, more is more I love his maximalist style too. I've tried directly copying his paintings but failed miserably so I have to walk my own path. Zak Smith is still there as an influence though in whatever form.
I use ink a lot and will definitely explore more using the salt technique - just gotta be careful not to slip into Arts & Craftsy..
Oh yeah, definitely develop it beyond that. I'd love to see what could be done working more representationally with this dual medium, or on the opposite end of things, something Kandinsky-esque. Landscapes are probably an obvious place to go too, but I could see that getting Arts & Craftsy if you're not careful haha
