Drawing a gun in 3D.....optical illusion (Glock 17)

I'm continuing my experiment to draw in 3D. I have a vision to be able to draw cars in 3D with the quality and detail as my other drawings. I think it would be some cool drawings.
To draw an optical illusion is not that easy and it needs some thinking to get it right. You have to consider the angle you are taking the photo from and try to get the width right. The further it gets from the lense the thinner it seems, especially square objects.
