Alor Island is one of the two main islands in Alor District, NTT.
Most of Alor residents work as farmers, while others are civil servants, mining, industry, construction and building, transportation and communications, services, military, electricity, water and gas.
Alor Island in addition to having a natural beauty that can be seen directly on land and beach, also has the beauty of marine parks in the form of rare fish, coral reefs and sea plants are so fascinating. In addition to marine tourism, Alor Islands have a natural tourist attraction, culture, and craft.
In Alor there Dekranasda that accommodate the creativity of local people to make a typical souvenir area, among others, weaving and bracelet. Although not much, but Alor still offers something that is not owned by other areas. This souvenir business is also done by the community in Takpala Traditional Village
