The outcome of victory is often determined before the first movement is made. Ninja are taught to use the least amount of force necessary to achieve victory because the risk should not outweigh the reward. One cannot be so focused on victory that they are willing to risk everything, for what is victory is you destroy your territory in the process.
When one is resolved from the beginning, they should be able to hold fast in the midst of false attempts to draw premature movement. These false attempts can be in the form of the opinions of others, bluffs from the enemy, and most importantly self-doubt. As Ninja we wait, thru seasons, trends, and indecision until true opportunities present themselves and because we've waited,... our minds and resources remain fresh.
Time should be a gift of information and experience, so that when the time is right, there will be no indecision or wasted energy. When things are done in this way one can apply 100% of body, mind and spirit towards the mission. ALL or NOTHING, Ninja move with surety with Kanjin Kaname (seeing with the eyes and heart of God).
