Despite the title, totally safe for work... well, most jobs anyways... I guess. Drawing on glass with graphite pencil and a little bit of acrylics airbrush..
Trotz des Titels komplett "safe for work", also ohne nsfw tag... zumindest für die meisten Jobs... denk ich mal. Auf Glas gezeichnet mit Bleistift und etwas Acryl Airbrush..

Wow! The detail and shading in this image is superb. It reminds me somehow of the artwork of Terry Gilliam and MC Escher. Would like to read about your influences if you'd care to share them with us
Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your kind comment. The biggest influence in my youth was most likely Max Ernst. I was so impressed with his "Temptation of St. Anthony", when I first saw it as an 8-year old, that I wanted to paint like that too... of course later it became most important to develop my own style... hope to see something on your blog soon!
Such an excellent drawing and brilliant shading. We had Max Ernst as a topic in school and I was also very impressed and inspired by the "Temptation of St. Anthony" :)
Yeah, one of the most influential painting for me ever!
Another wonderfully fascinating work Reinhard.
Cordial thanks!
Hi @woodywood143 good to see you here. His work is stunning. I am still trying to understand how he works graphite on glass.
You have to press real hard!
Just kidding. I'm just not ready to tell eeeverything 😎
You could tell everything and people would still be in wonder and aww. I am going to share all my techniques as each person will take a unique approach to application of them. I appreciate the hard work and understanding of insight that goes into unique play. You have a very interesting style and I see many years of refinement in your creative play. Your work inspires me to refine my drafting skills.
Again, a big thank you for your kind words. Practicing my skills always had a high priority for me and its good that artists always inspire each other!
Observing a practiced hand and keen eye is a joy.
Agree completely!
Hello, and yes I have the same question :)
Hahaha... I get that a lot. Please understand, that that's one question I will not answer. I'm a self employed artist for 30 years now and having something unique is a key asset.. in any business.
We are having this conversation in public and I don't want to come to steemit to see a post one day of some kid, explaining how to draw on glass with a pencil... hope you understand.
Indeed I do, Im a Graphic Artist and 3D modelers and I have some secrets as well.
I tried ..... but nobody wants to pay me 😜
lol! 🤣
wow, you make realy great art! very professional! upvote and follow you!
Also invite you to visit my art blog!
Thank you for liking my work and for the invitation to your blog. Very interesting 🙂
Another fantastic work of art. This one really speaks to me.
Thanks a lot!
Was expecting some nsfw content tbh, but on the other hand sexy does not necessarily mean nude, does it. A car can be sexy :) A house :) and definitely this multilayered complex piece of art is sexy too.
Hehe... no tag, no nsfw content 🙂 And you are absolutely right, its not always the obvious, that is sexy or erotic.
Thanks a lot for your kind compliment.
Btw.. did you see the question I left on "Anything goes #4"?
How in the world do you get graphite to stick to glass. You are a master i can imagine how many failures it took to perfect such work. I am always interested in how different artists approach the world of mark making. The infinite possibilities i am curious what lead you down the path to working on glass as a substrate?

I studied traditional glass painting. Always trying to find something new, I eventually found a few methods that worked well for me, although working with glass has its challenges.
Cordial thanks for your kind words!
I have 5 sheets of glass laying around I am going to play with it and see what it is like. I use to use a thick sheet of glass as my pallet. And I have this idea for a multi sheets of glass painting of eyes. My grandfather was had an automotive body shop and he replaced windshields when I was a kid and I saw these old sheets of glass sitting in his rack and had this idea I am carrying it with me 40 years later, perhaps it is time to finally do that painting. I love playing with stuff I don’t understand yet, it gives me the freedom to make mistakes and discover the new ways of doing things. Thank you for inspiring me to do something new.
Glad I could get you (re)started with this idea! Happy experimenting.. you might find something, nobody has done before!
I have FUN with rebirthing this idea. I will start out small and do a few tests I find it best when I am unaware of the rules. This allows me more room to find the perfect imperfections.
sounds good!
The detail in your work just amazes me every time!💕
Its me.... I start somewhere and then I see a spot, that needs some more detail... and so on
Fascinating art. I blew it up on my phone so I could study more closely. You have a wonderful talent and great detail. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much for your kind compliment. I'm still trying to figure out, how one can enlarge a picture with a click here..
You're welcome. I am able using my phone to enlarge. What do you use for Steemit? I use steemit.com.
Pfft.. I think I'm the last person without a smart phone. My cell phone is a brick, which you can only use to make... phone calls 😎 Since I work at home, I'm never far from a decent PC, which I like best to access stemmit.com Also use busy.org and on my tablet I have eSteem
Really amazing. Ich liebe es ;) Upvoted and follow fur dich mein Freund ;)
Thanks a lot! I see you are from Almere... I work with a company there: Re-Art. Will be there next spring!
Let me know by that time, Almere can be quite confusing ;)
That is fantastic work. I love the textures! what a great first introduction to your artwork. Thanks for posting
Thanks a lot for liking this piece and your kind comment!
Es gibt nicht viele Künstler (vor allem auf steemit) die mich wirklich mit ihrer Kunst beeindrucken und manchmal fast schon sprachlos machen, aber du gehörst auf jeden fall dazu! Wirklich einzigartiger style :)
Vielen herzlichen Dank, freut mich sehr 🙂
Wow, this is amazing! I really love how the gradient and shadings look. Also love the circle format, since it's my favorite shape. :)
Thanks a lot! Yes, I like the circular shape to, but I like long vertical formats even better. Even did one a 17x200cm one time!
I like the round shape and the way you've perfectly integrated the hand into mechanics
A big compliment from someone of your abilities and skill! Thanks a lot 🙂
Or "sex cells" :)... Amazing work @Reinhard-Schmid! i'm in awe of the amount of details and the soft shading you do in your art!
Hahahaha... your title for it is great, you are really creative! Thanks a lot for your kind words 🙂
That's a very nice one Reinhard!
Thanks a lot, Dennis!

Intriguing...! I was wondering about the sex part. Could it be the microphone or the old-school phone bells? Oh, you mean they're supposed to be...! I like how you can make mechanical structures look so appealing.
Well, thing is, that there really is no obvious sex in this painting. The title is more or less cynical, although certain things.... 😇
Hehehehe, given the right mindset, you can see sex everywhere you look! :-)
