⌛ A drawing of a long, loong time ago ⌛
It happens that I downloaded the image because it looked easy, but "easy" is a dangerous word ... especially if you are an artist.
💣 "Easy" As Atomic Bomb for Artists 🎨.
When someone wants you to make a drawing on a huge sheet for an exhibition and seeing the image you say "this is easy" and you start doing it, you spend your colors and other materials, the days go by, they come out painful calluses on your fingers, you have to deliver the drawing the next morning. So you do not sleep all night! You already have your wrist swollen and you still do not see the moment to finish the job and there you realize that you received very little money for thinking that it was "easy". The next morning, you hand over the drawing with your hand still numb and in return you get alms ... NO, NOTHING IS EASY, EVERYTHING BRINGS AN EFFORT, therefore, YOU SHOULD NOT BE UNCOMFORTABLE TO CHARGE.
Well, that's exactly what happened to me with this aerial dancer, I was learning to use colors in my drawings, I saw the image and I said: Jah! This is a piece of cake, 😆 O I mean, it's me! What can I tell you...?
Making the sketch was not that complicated, but having to give it movement/value/texture with colors ... That's another voice and when I realized that using colors was not as easy as I thought, I got upset and said goodbye to the drawing As a boy leaves the girlfriend by not giving him the demonstration of love 😅 and as for this work nobody was paying me, I had no problem in forgetting it. I told myself that one day I would finish it but the time passed and it happened ... until one day, three years later, I found my old block of drawings and observing it, I realized that more were the unfinished and I associated this with my life: Always leaving everything half done when things get difficult, that would have to change it before the end of the year and I started with my drawings. Then, I dusted the old hobby!
✍ Process:
What!? That is all?
Ups, Hahahaha, I also thought that there were more images of the process but in those days I did not usually photograph the steps I was taking and unfortunately that was the only photo I could find 😅 I hope they do not get angry, beautiful people!! Although this post has been more aimed at reflection.
Aaaand it does not hurt to say that my technique has improved 😎. Here is a last picture with the drawing:
