Orange Green Trees Master Study

In the past 1-2 weeks I have been spending some of my mornings painting master studies as part of my practice. I'm finding painting master studies is a great way to warm up in the morning. I've been aiming to paint them in less than 1 hour.

I'm going to share 4 of them with you in this post, one that is new, and 3 which I had previously posted individually in the OnChain Art Group, but became hidden because master studies are not allowed there. I didn't realise this at first and wasn't aware of the rules, or forgot them from when I first joined the group.

Master Study 1

This first one I titiled 'Green Orange Trees', which I kept it quick and loose, and it about me about 50 minutes to paint.

I'm not sure who the original artist is. My version is on the right in the comparison image below:

Master Study 2

This was one of a few master studies I did of my friend and professional painters work, @samuel_earp_artist

This was one of his New Zealand paintings.

My digital painting study of another one of Samuel Earp's paintings. This one was an Autumn scene in New Zealand.

Master Study 4

I think this is one master study I finished in the morning which I hadn't previously posted. Another study of one of Samuel Earp's paintings.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these master studies, I do intend to paint more of them soon.

@samuel-earp-art has some pretty nice landscapes to paint XD

How early are you waking up in the morning to give yourself an hour or so to do these things in? O_O

I guess it's also possible that you just pack less crap into your days than I do, or more likely you're just more organised XD

@ryivhnn he does, and I painted there with him! I shared a studio space with Sam a few years ago, and he taught me how to paint plein air :)

I set my own schedule at the moment, the difficult thing is keeping the same focus and productivity for the rest of the working day!

Oh nice! That must have been pretty cool XD Mostly because I'm such a recluse the only times I ever get to work with anyone is when my sibling and I are visiting each other.
