An awesome portrait of that great artist! Up and steemed, my friend!
Have a very nice weekend! :)

Thanks so much Patrick. The first city I lived in Europe was Nürnberg, and it was a thrill for me to visit his house after admiring his work from afar. Later I visited Arco near the Gardasee where he had painted a famous watercolor -- and imagined him crossing the alps in a carriage and on horseback.

Thanks very much for the resteem & a great weekend to you too!

Your are so very welcome, my friend! ;)

Unterhaltsam informierend. Danke @roused! :)

Merci für die freundlichen Worte und den Besuch!

De rien und immer wieder gerne.

Dürer als Hipster ist am Besten :)

I think I saw him in Starbucks eating a brownie!

pipurilla led me here.

Great post. It was an interesting part of history I was unaware of and a great way to tell a story.

Thanks.

Thanks so much and I'm glad this post turned you on to something new. As for @pipurilla he's a wonderful person to follow on Steemit, a great photographer, and a super cyber buddy.

PS if you get a chance, watch the BBC documentary.

Some things never change?
"Prior to Dürer, successful artists needed to seek wealthy patrons to sponsor their artwork."
O wait a minute? Steemit lol
We don't have to think of the starving artist anymore. Nice post and interesting to see the Gimp examples.

Albrecht would be a monster on Steemit if he were alive today ;-)

You bet he would. Pure talent.

Awesome art.I am voting you. Please check my post.

Wie stehst du denn zu Schiller, wenn Goete so weit oben in deiner Liste ist?

That's the problem, there are so very many to choose from. Who would your 3 be?
