This settee is a reproduction of a George Hepplewhite original. Sorry to admit I can't furnish the maker's name but the work speaks for itself. Design and details are graceful and it is made to look easy. Notice the holly inlaid stringing that defines the signature shield shape of Hepplewhite style. That is meticulous and blends into the outline so that it is barely noticed. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Many Blessings
that is a beautiful piece of furniture. So elegant and yet practical at the same time. We don't get this quality these days unless it's a repro which is still good.
That is a nice example. Just look at the detail. Today that level of intense labour is avoided because of cost etc. I love making reproductions personally, but finding clients to commission them is sometimes tricky. Thanks
