Getting creative with the kids for Halloween

in #art6 years ago

Learn how to make a simple paper cobweb.

I checked out a few potential ways on YouTube just prior to Halloween and this is the design I found the simplest to follow.

The kids didn't make it easy...

...but we got there in the end!

The 'rainbow spider' as Esteban likes to call it was made with straws and Play-Doh.

The basic principle for the cobweb is to start with a square and fold over to create a triangle three times. This piece is cut down the middle (see film) and then we draw this design on the paper.

Once you have cut out each part, it should look something like this.

And finally the candles!

There you have it.

Happy (belated) Halloween everyone!

Very adorable art for very adorable children. Lovely to see children & parents making art and great memories together :)

Thanks! I'm not sure how involved they really were in the making process, but I am feeding their little minds with ideas for the future.

The world is a playground ;)

Haha! Yes, my kids remember all sorts of things that we did when they were little...more work for me than for them...but it was worth it. Keep playing 😊👍

Looks incredible and elegant :-)

Appreciate the comment. It's much easier to do than it looks.

Welcome to Steemit :)
