I've just finished this pencil sketch of my favourite mountain in New Zealand, Mt Talbot. The photo reference I used I took a few years ago in late winter after a heavy snow storm so the mountains were covered in fresh snow.
I've sketched this composition on grey card. The darker value of the card makes the highlights really stand out. I have used graphite pencils and a white pastel pencil for the highlights.
