I am currently on my travels and I'm at present staying in the Connemara area of Ireland. About 20 km away from where I'm staying are some beautiful lakes and mountains. I found this beautiful spot at Ballynahinch Lake with an amazing view which I decided to paint.
Here is the finished painting.
Ballynahinch Lake, 10" x 12", oil on canvas.
The view and the afternoon light was amazing and the perfect conditions for painting outdoors, so I set up my trusty pochade box travel easel and got to work.
The light was disappearing fast so I had to be quick, luckily I had my dark tones painted by this point so I was easily able to work in my lighter tones and not worry about the changing light.
And this was the beautiful view I painted, I took this photo before I set up my easel.
I have more art works on my website: samuelearp.com

Thanks @head10 :)
Even the photos of you in the wilderness are very wonderful, with all the textures of the different plants in layers all the way to the tree line. Incredible scenery. :)
West Ireland is a beautiful place!
Gorgeous work as usual. How long would something like that take you typically?
Thanks @chrissymchavez, I painted this in about two hours. Plein air painting teaches you to paint quickly.
Thanks @xuanvo :)
