I’ve been taking advantage of this late snowfall we’ve had. I’ve been wanting to paint these pine trees for ages but I always felt the weather, light and time of year was never quite right, but today was a perfect time to paint them. The trees are at the foot of the Crown Range Mountains in New Zealand. I painted this artwork outdoors en plein air.
Painting outdoors is known as Pinterest en plein air, a French phrase for painting outdoors.
