Since the 30's in in Zagreb the "Franceks" or water pumps have been set up. Most often you could see them in parks, cemeteries and markets, and today there are still a few. Some of them are in function, so we call them retro hydrants.
Street artists gathered at the initiative Pimp my pump. They make amazing art of survived "Franceks". So on the streets of Zagreb you will see Gonzo from "The Muppet Show" (Jarun), Batman and Zagora (Bizek), Marge Simpson (Zagreb Fair), Homer Simpson (Martinovka), Rubik's Cube, St. Marks Church, Andy Warhol, and even singer Lou Reed got his own "Francek"!
Walking from home to work, I came to Francek, which presents a chess, popular game. That's why I decided to introduce you to another super-idea from my city that I'm very proud of!
