I'm a little late in beginning my showcase, but better late than never!

Today I'll be showing off 5 entries to my Scenes of Nature Art Conest. The contest closes in less than a day, so there's still a little bit of time if you're interested in joining.

And here they are!

1

The first artist of the day is @adelepazani with her piece, Running Away Within Myself. This pencil drawing depicts a tree escaping its bondage to the earth, literally uprooting itself and running away.

Check out her original post here and be sure to give it an upvote.

2

@skippyza's entry to the contest is a simple digital painting of a tree made exceptional by its use of decidedly unnatural colours. The blue grass and pink leaves make for a striking combination.

Make sure you share the love with the artist by giving the original post a vote.

The artist behind this traditional painting is @footsteem. The artist's goal was to depict some of the nature near their village. By an unwritten law, the village will not allow these trees to be cut down. Thank goodness! It's wonderful to keep nature preserved.

Take a look at the original post here and give the artist your upvote.

4

The next entry is by @artworktogo. Rideau River Heron is a traditional painting that depicts exactly what the title describes: a heron in a river. The majestic bird stands in the foreground right at the shore, and the background is accented by lush green reeds.

Please go to the original post to give the artist a much deserved upvote.

The last piece of the day comes from the winner of my Surreal Art Contest, @jacinta.sevilla. This piece, titled Come to Me, depicts endangered animals seeking refuge in the arms of a woman as their habitats are destroyed. As the artist says, Mother Nature is not happy. Humans should be a force of preservation, not destruction. We should be a refuge.

That's enough art for one day. I'll be back tomorrow to showcase more entries! The winners will be announced once all the pieces have been featured.
