Selling online since the 2009, I changed some different surface to take some pics of my handmade items and artworks. During the last 4 years, for the most part of the times, I used and old used canvas I found in the lab. It's an old white canvas with some spots in grey colors and it's perfect to focus the attention on some litle items, but in te last days I'm using also another kind of surface: the wooden "platform" I have in my backyard as stair under the kitchen door!
Unfortunately there was not enough sun during these day and so I could take just few pics, but these are a couple of example:
The wooden surface is not so bad, I think. I like how it works with my tiny paintings and adding some flowers always seems to be more connected with the nature ^_^
Sure, I'll continue to use different surfaces for my creations and I think to search the "right" background is a sort of creative act too ^_^
