The abstract picture goes beyond physical reality and attempts to reflect the inner reality with a spiritual understanding. For this reason, abstract painters are not objects or figures. The artist who started the abstract painting movement was the famous Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky. Other important representatives of the current are Robert Delaunay, Kazimir Malevich, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee and Vladimir Tatlin.
