I awaken!
They grow In
Volume
I hear them
Muddled and unclear,
I'm afraid
They get louder
And louder,
Distorted
With varying levels
Almost as to
Mock me,
Shamefully
They do not
Hide,
They do not
Fade,
They call for
Me,
I can not
Ignore them now,
As I tip-toe cautiously
In the hallway
I come closer
To the door,
A dimly blue
Lit' light consumes
Me,
Each step becoming
More clearer now
Than ever,
The light becomes
Brighter,
And brighter
The voices,
They become tumultuous
Dark, scornful and
Overwhelming,
Louder and louder
Confusing
Deafening
Thunderous!
My anger grows
And my curiosity
Has risen higher!
I must see who
Has invaded my
House,
Of silence
And with one great
Force,
I push open the
Aperture!
But,
To my surprise,
Shock and awe
I stood there
Frozen,
Time had completely
Stopped,
For
The voices I had
Heard,
Were my own
The voices of
Sadness
Grief,
Regret
And despair,
Anguish
Frustrations,
Of over 400 years
All,
My mistakes
Sins and haughty
Desires,
My willfulness to
Ignore,
The voices crying
Out,
My own life
And the lives
Of others,
For standing in
That doorway,
At 2:35am
I found
