Hello, in my opinion, I don't think that there's anything wrong with asking for an up vote in your own post. However, this is something I would never do personally.
It's clear that anyone who makes a post and does not decline payout wants to have an upvote. Therefore, reminding someone to up vote seems redundant to me.

I think when people concentrate on offering value instead of asking for help constantly, it causes them to stand out above the crowd :D
Upon thinking more, in practice, I would prefer to come from gratitude first. In the form of a grateful reminder. Something like a simple banner at the end of posts that reads, "Thanks for your support! Let's have more fun!"
