I don't think people appreciate the work that goes into art. They could at least buy postcards to support you if they like what they see. What they did is just inconsiderate

I know, I try to understand the situation in that they perhaps mist people dont appreciate the time and effort that goes into making an original work of art. The artist takes a great risk in life in just choosing to live the life of an artist - I mean their is no guarantee anyone will ever like or buy their work- There are thousands or unknown artists who die every year penniless. I used to know Damien Hirst back when I was a student. He was poor for years and I loaned him money just so he could buy bread and milk. But still he persisted while all his friends got good jobs, a house, car and holidays. Now he is rich these same people are envious of him but forget the sacrifice he made.
By the way, Damien never paid me back lol
