Good day steem family.
I haven't been on the platform for months now and surely have missed this beautiful platform to share my artworks - In case it's your first time visiting my post... I make artworks - especially pencil monochrome drawings.
This work I'm going to be sharing today is a commissioned work I completed late January. I will be walking y'all through the process.
Tools ;
- A correction pen
- Charcoal pencils 9b to 14b range
- Graphite pencils 3b to 8b range
- Tortilions
- Kneaded eraser.
I start by drawing the head warmer. This took a lot of time as it contained a lot of details in the original picture.. charcoal pencil and the correction pen were the main tools here.
I then move to the face and starting from the eyes I shared up to the fore head. I ignored the details on the face here cos I always detail last for every drawing
On to the next, I'm still on the face and the body of the work..... Now my client wanted me to detail the fingers ( it was blurred out in the reference picture - I'm no magician)... I tried my best with the picture nonetheless.
Done with the face and body.. I move to the background... Adding the tree behind was very enjoyable... I'd say my favourite part of this artwork
And there.. we have a framed work ready to be mailed to my client who totally loved the drawing.
