Necklace and Earrings- Combining diverse materials...torch fired enamel and deer antlers 🦌πŸ”₯πŸŒ€

in #art β€’ 7 years ago

I like to combine different materials to create interesting contrasts and textures in my jewelry. My son had given me a gift of some antler buttons and tips that he had sawn for me. I combined these with a torch fired enamel pendant, some trade beads, stone and glass beads, leather and copper wire to create this necklace.

I drilled holes in the antler tip with my drill press. Then I cut out the copper sheet for the pendant and torch fired it with three different colors of enamel plus the colors and patina that the flame gives to the bare copper.

I added an amethyst drop bead to the bottom with some small carnelian beads and blue glsss beads. Above it I added copper wire with trade beads and the others I had used before. I then attached a leather cord by wrapping wire around the folded ends.

Then I decided to use some of the buttons to make some earrings. I cut and hammered the copper triangles and wired them to the bottom with wooden beads and copper wire. I then added ear wires to the tops.

I will be selling these locally, but if you are interested, I can create something similar for you and list it in my Etsy shop.

nice!!! are you going to accept sbd for them? Just curious - I accept sbd myself...or bitcoin.

I would love to if I could figure out how that would work. Maybe you have some tips on that?

I think you would just have them transfer the sbd to your account and you would send them the jewelry. You would either eat the shipping or ask them to pay it or include it in your price. I have sold some drawings that way - she paid me $50 sbd - and I was ok with it. It's just a simple mind game - frn's are fake pieces of paper backed by nothing supplied by the enslavers that we have bought into using to using to limit our current-see (in green language) - in this way you use some frn's to pay for shipping but you get sbd or bitcoin...

have you gone thru the process of transfering any sbd to usd yet? You might need to DO that to have the experience of what I am talking about...

if you do that I would use the bitcoin wallet that is suggested here. I made the mistake of using circle.com and when I got to a certain amount of purchasing and now they are tracking it- which I don't like.

in order to make it into btc you go through bittrex.com or blocktrades.com - there are many articles on here about it - I have a very dumb cheat sheet that I have to follow to do it. Us oldsters find it more difficlt to understand than the youngsters. You could get one of your kids to help you. I had my friend come over and help me - it took me many times to get comfortable and I still don't LOVE to do it.

if you need my cheat sheet I will give it to you but you need to read some articles first and try it yourself so you will understand. Mine is for bittrex and circle though so I have not done the other wallet yet. I will one day.
