During my travels to Japan, a Japanese friend of mine showed me the work of Ikeda Manabu. When viewing his work for the first time i was flabbergasted to say the least.
Manabu produces some of the most stunning, detailed, intricate pieces of art i have ever seen! Posting this work on Steemit really doesn't do it much justice, it is something that has to be seen in real life to fully absorb its intensity. I just couldn't help posting it because i'm really in love with this guy's work!
His pieces are so detailed, that some of them took over a year to complete. One can spend almost an entire day looking at it, reading the story and constantly finding new features and details. It is an explosion of dense visual information, intricately executed through pen and ink.
Take a moment to look at the pictures, do realise however that these pictures can't really translate all the detail on to your retina. For that, you would have to see his work in real life.
