Imagination To Reality!!! - Step By Step Guide On How My Coffee Painting Was Made - Le Nu

in #art7 years ago

Hi Steemians,

Just wanted to share why I thought of painting using coffee. Earlier this morning, I was in the office sitting and sipping a cup of coffee. Then I realized, what if I try to paint using coffee. Also, a lot of us have seen many artists paint using coffee. Since this is my first time, I would like to share my work in progress by using coffee.

First, I would like to give some insights why I drink coffee everyday.

Coffee helps start up your day. It is loaded with antioxidants and beneficial nutrients that can improve your health, that is why I like it so much.

Going back, I'm gonna show you how I made my coffee painting.

  • Finished Product:

Let's get started, below are the materials I used:

  • Carson 7" x 10'. 200 GSM

  • 10 round - Nylon hair reeves - Ideal for water colors, gouache, Poster color, tempera and acrylics.
  • Chinese brush (Pointed tip) - I borrowed it from my mom.

  • Three small plastic containers for coffee powder.

  • Coffee sachet - Nescafe

I started by creating the subject - Le Nu.

I drew this for art purposes, hopefully you'll like it.

  • Done sketching and now lets proceed on the next steps.

IMG_1054.JPG

  • Just mix them using a spoon or paint brush.

IMG_1016.JPG

  • Light Shade

  • Medium Dark

  • The Darkest

  • Tip: the thicker the consistency of the mixture the darker the shade will become.

IMG_1015.JPG

  • In painting, it is important that you start with the lightest shade and not the other way around.

  • Then I proceed on coloring the subject. Light shading goes first.

  • Also, you need a dry paintbrush or tissue to wipe off the residue when the coffee mixture dries on the paper.

IMG_1024.JPG

  • Then I'm almost done with the first coating:)

  • Then, I Iet it dry for about 15 minutes then proceed on the second coating.

  • After 15 minutes, I started again my second coating.
