The History of ARTzone (https://www.steemit.com/@artzone)

On March 6, 2019 @artzone celebrates One Year of collecting so many great contributions, contributors and reviews.

The long term potential is that our community and automated tools and infrastructure, will create a culture and a brand for the
#artzone tag.

Hopefully the @artzone will be also followed by many that encounter it's followers and the account will be very valuable for the community and for the owner as well.

Results:

  • In the first 2 months of @artzone, we had 6000 followers!
  • After 12 months we now have almost 11,000 followers
  • 5000+ artworks posted and viewable on artzone.live
  • A dedicated and skilled curation and management team
  • A first example of how powerful a Community is on the Steem platform.

Overview:

Working on a white paper recently for ARTzone; we have had so many great talents contribute and I wanted to point out we have the artzone.live domain now, soon to be a new powerful way for the community to browse ART, graphics and photos on the INTERNET!

I believe this new User Interface, specialized for the task of Discovery of new Art, and paying our users to be both our Patrons, and our Curators via rewarding them for their participation, is a bold new step in Social Media, and Artistic and creative persute across the board.

These concepts are media specific (content type specific), thus have a specialize intention I believe can be modified for this specific task in our own Creative Social way.

Much like a search engine, we will have filters and allow users to view Today's selections, for the last week, month or year, etc.

Original INSPIRATIONS For ARTzone:

Several artists from all over the world were chatting me up and asking me to upvote their artworks posted on Steem. I found it difficult to ignore them, especially since they were very talented, obviously working very hard to grow in their skills and I admired their work very much.

Some of course are stunning young women from places I have never visited, and there was also something of a curiosity involved. It would be so great to be able to join hands and support each other's work.

I felt it was important to explore...

And her photography was really great as well, she really made me think.
A very nice lady to talk to guys!

@yakubenko

She would send me posts of her work and ask me to upvote it. For SOME REASON, I could not resist! LOL

Quickly, many other artists from Russia, Uzbeck, India; all over the earth..
are doing everything possible to attract attention, including drawing portraits of @ned and various other Elders, including @timcliff and myself.

After a while, I realized artists writing to me on steemit.chat was never going to scale, so we should form a Society of the ARTs, and all share in a community to enjoy each other's contributions.

But, who and what to include?
This has always been a question; but we tried to feel our way forward and not be afraid of the uncharted waters ahead.

Of course with so many of these artists (and of course our curators!), THEY ARE THE WORK OF ART themselves and this can not be ignored in any way.

Meanwhile, the Steem network continues to evolve and just today, the SCT has a new market and is starting to trade in it's own eco-system. I do believe we have a revolution for DAPP development here, and this is my greatest dream in many ways.

SHOUTS go out to:

@misrori for inventing so much of this, and being such a great soul, a master of the internet; he is so brilliant, thank you.. again and again.

Wow, that's a great journey... and what a success! I'm just stoked about it because of the great way this is a living "usage example" of the Steem blockchain and our community for something other than just blogging, crypto stuff and app development!

I agree, there are 100 use cases we have not attempted yet..
