God's whisper

Yesterday I attended a kind of art exhibition, it was mostly contemporary paintings and  few installations. I looked at the painting which was not very exquisite (to my point of view), but rather expensive, with the silent question Why?

Probably this scepticism was printed on my face, and a man, who remarked it (he was an art expert) tried to explain me - why we consider art to be so valuble ? I will try to repeat it as closer to his words, but anyway it impressed me very much.

He said - "When God can not wait  to say something, he gives to man a talent. And begins to whine at his soul - until he takes a brush, a musical instrument or a pen - until he starts to turn himself out, to pull himself upon a canvas, or to crucify on a musical stand, to put out this intolerable inner whining with brush strokes, words, nots.

God says something there, and you record it.If God does not like it -  you tear , burn, paint it white, and start again. God, by and large, does not care if you cut your ear off, or if you deafen with both ... he has soaked you like a sponge with his inarticulate anxious whisper, and you're just a piggy bank that needs to be broken to extract the treasure. When God is especially in the spirit, He requires to shift these "divine comedies" into human language, to translate his words into words that are understandable, He expects you to pick up a cipher, so that you to tell everything as much as closer to the source,  that you will understand and let others to know what is about this howling, bursting into flames in your soul all day , as an inconsolable baby.

The art is the simplest way to touch the source. That is what makes it priceless."

Guess this idea was more valuable than all the things, I've seen there...
