I was inspired by my trip up the east coast of Australia -- I had spent almost my whole life in the same general area of the state, and on my journey I noticed things I didn't even think about, like seeing clouds take on unfamiliar forms, the change in vegetation and how lush and crowded everything seemed to get as I headed up north.
But the part that stuck with me the most was just after Coffs Harbour, 10 hours into a 12 hour drive, as the sun became but an afterglow in the sky and I grasped for a moment the sheer size of the clouds above me, silent giants placidly wandering above. I can't replicate the feeling of awe I felt at the time, but I hope this drawing of mine helps come close.
Very scary :0
That's a drawing???
Holy moly.
