I am really excited about a couple of different projects I have been working on. Because of copyrights and waiting to find out if Steemit will approve it, I can't show the work of one of the projects yet. But I am collaborating with a couple of users and we hope Steemit will approve our design so we can put it on some products.
But the other project I have been working on is putting my images on items for YART a yardsale for Art.
I wanted to share what I have made so far. I been able to get all of these items for free using coupon codes over the last 5 weeks or so, though I did have to pay shipping and handling. I sold my first piece already from these items I have made.
I even gonna play with putting some of the items on eBay just to see how well they do. Might mess with my customers a little bit as they are use to seeing costume jewelry from me there. LOL
I am sharing this because for artist it can be hard to put your stuff on products and still make a little money on it, and if you watch for the codes on Shutterfly and Snapfish you can get your art put on products and still make money selling the product.
Today Shutterfly has a coupon code out for 2 free items, you have your choice of 4 to choose from. I made a calendar and a mousepad today. Yesterday I made playing cards and a memory card game with flowers. I can see what works and doesn't without it costing me a ton of money and suggest all artist take advantage of coupon codes to get items free.
I have an idea for a t-shirt that won't have to have anyone's approval, so I am off to work on it now. Happy Steeming Everyone, if you like this post feel free to upvote it. great designs and job.
Depending on the price, I'll, likely, be doing some shopping with you. Those cards and other gifts look downright professional!!! I'm so proud of you!!!
I am gonna be charge $2 to $3 more than what it costs me to make the items, that way I get a little for my time and efforts.
Sounds like a reasonable thing to do. That's very similar to what I did when I had an online store at Cafepress.com.
