I created this portrait of "Une Belle Femme" after days of working on a blank digital canvas. I used photoshop with a digitizing tablet. I decided for this painting I would spend a longer time working on it to really refine my art. I devoted a large portion of the creation process to achieving the Skin tone , which looks seamless transitioning from one grade of tone to the next. The hair still remains a challenging area but like anything else i will work on it to perfect it ,you ll see ;)
Heres a little step by step creation photos. Unfortunately I did not record my creation progress as I really just wanted to hunker down and work on my art. I still hope you are able to take away something useful that you can impart in your own paintings whether digital or organic.
