New Digital Painting - Untitled Abstract Composition No. 1

Untitled Composition No. 1

Here's another piece I created on Corel Painter 18.

The Inspiration For This

I was interested in experimenting with some of the more advanced particle and blending brushes in Corel Painter.

This creates more of an organic, textured feel which I really love.

I used a combination of Chalks and Oil Pastels as a base. The Pepper Spray brush was used to give the airbrush type effect.

I haven't been able to think of a good name for it, so for now I have just left it untitled.

I hope you like it. Also (as I usually say) feel free to use it in your own posts if you can find a use for it.

Sort:

it reminds me of Red Sky at Night...and it is also a delight. Sunsets can be somber but these colour tones seem light and carefree. It's always been my rule in writing not to hang a dismal picture on a wall - why would I? I think of the murky canvases of British painters like Turner and Constable, so dark at times you scarcely know there's a painting there at all. I can't really comment on the technical aspects, but I know what I like. Beautiful.

Thank you so much!

This is so refreshing and vibrant. Following to see where your digital art takes you. I am a nature photographer and surfer girl from Costa Rica
Pleased to meet you 🌈

Thank you. Nice to meet you:)

I remember doing this kinda art work back in high school . Great work @thecryptofiend

Thank you. Yes I think most of us do this kind of thing at school and aren't afraid to experiment. Sadly most give up after that.

If we continue talents , it has great future effects . Something just never die off

I really like the effects. Nice. Just a heads up in case you haven't seen, I'm running another art competition, I'd love it if you had time to enter.

Thank you. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that though as I've only just started painting again and I still feel a bit weak and embarrassed about it. I will wait until I'm maybe a bit more confident.

I totally understand. No worries at all. Although, I value every attempt and cherish everyone's efforts to participate :)

digital painting is looking so good

Thank you so much!

reminds me of oil painting I saw sometimes, pretty creative drawing!

Id call sunset in the desert or anger.

Interesting - why anger?

From the different shades of red.

I like @johngeddes idea of Red Sky at Night...Sailor's Delight. That's what my grandfather taught me. He used to be a merchant marine.
Have you printed this out? It should be framed with crisp white matting --beautiful!

Thanks. No I haven't printed it out - will need to see.

Very cool! No I have not seen that will check it out.

it looks like red-toned rainbow @thecryptofiend :)
nice!

@thecryptofiend -"To me, it looks like wheat or corn fields reflecting hues of a glorious dawn. The darker lines towards the bottom of the picture remind me of a landscape shot with paddy or corn fields. The pinkish orange and vrat hues, of course remind me of a promising dawn. Perhaps that should be the title "Promising dawn". Thanks for sharing this wonderful artwork. Upvoted.

Update at my end - I have posted a blog with a question on Innocence- Does it really exist? based on my original wildlife photos and musings. I have also posted an interesting 'Date with Lionesses' with my original GIFs. I would be honored if you take a look when you have time. Your valuable comments will be eagerly awaited. Thanks

Thanks as always for you kind comments. Promising dawn is a great name!

I have to try this as soon as possible!

Your painting is amazing! It reminds me of love.

Just like your painting, it has many levels and colors. The light shade represents your love for the world, the darker shade represents your love for your community and the darkest shade? The one that shines the brightest represents your love for your family. All the other colors don't matter. What important is that we loved. No matter how big or small, what important is we experienced how to love and be loved. :))

Great work Up&Resteem

Thank you!

Welcome :))

This artwork looks peaceful to me.

What's your take on it? What do you see in it? :)

I see a sandy road where you can ride over with a Land Rover and behind that road you have some tall grass. This scene takes me to sundown as well! Great work!

I always see different kinds of sunsets in these compositions!

Cool! I have to same with this colour palette! But in this one I some more scenery! Good job :)

This post received a 3.9% upvote from @randowhale thanks to @rkrieger! For more information, click here!

If you asked me to give it a name, I'd call it, "L.A. Sunset." :)

Interesting. Thank you. I have never been to LA but it is a cool name.

An untitled composition I see...
hmm to think of a name.

I agree that an organic, textured feel is created which I also adore as naturalistic pieces of work are my favourite.

The blend of colours goes together so well. I don't know why, but it makes me think of a red velvet cake. With the scarlet red seeping in from the top and bottom making this wondrous gradient with different arrays of colours.

The pink in the middle generates thoughts of some sort of filling. Maybe strawberry perhaps. (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it)

So @thecryptofiend I present to you the name... Velvet Cake cue the round of applause haha

Lol Velvet Cake is an awesome name!

nice work. I like it

Love the ombré like layers!

Awesome art.I like this.Again i am voting you. Please check my post.

Nice!
please check out some of my stuff as well.

you got nearly $90 for this? jesus... i sometimes got less than that for a whole night VJing... i should get back into doing graphics and post some art on here... i guess it helps though having hundreds of upvotes even though this post only has 45 views... oh well...

Get a new job then:) $90 is not much for a whole night.

sometimes paid better than that but yup... that's one of the reasons i quit...

That's the thing though I think if you stick with it on Steemit you could be earning similar amounts. Takes time to get noticed though. For ages I was lucky to get a few cents. Try posting some of your music - let me know if you do.

will do...thanks for the encouragement... haven't done anything creative for ages though, and mostly don't have much to say... don't want to just constantly vomit words onto my blog for the sake of putting something out there, so it might take a while to gather a decent following...

That's true but you cold post some of your old work - may as well use it and put it out there.

TIENE UN BUEN EFECTO EN LA VISTA,,, PARECE TELA DE COLOR ROMANTICO PORQUE LA COMBINACION ES MUY TIERNA

shades of optimism.....all color show mood swings from almost being a pessimist to being an optimist !! loved it
i too posted a painting today maybe you can take a look at it
