Hi there everyone, Nicole aka thepaperplane here! I'm excited to show you something I have been doodling on (working on... hmm) for a contest made by @steemitbooks.
The contest consists in designing a bookplate (and you may ask, WHAT IS THAT?, well my friends, here it comes the light to shine through the darkness: wikipedia source), is a small print or decorative label pasted into a book, often on the inside front cover, to indicate its owner. Simple typographical bookplates are termed "booklabels".
So now that you know what we're talking about, we pass to some more important subjets. This contest is amazing because the people working behind @steemitbooks has an initiative to ship books bought with the SBDs earned by the account to make an Open library. You can read more about it here
I've inspired myself with everything I have read throughout my entire life, mostly, you will notice, fantasy books.
I composed everything in a single picture, and added the "Donated by The Steemit Book Project"
REMEMBER: If you'd like your OWN PERSONALIZED STEEMIT BANNER, don't hesitate to contact me! talk to me over at discord where my username and number is @thepaperplane#4990; or here in a comment to work something out! ;)
Such a beautiful ex libris! Fantastic art. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I'd like to ask you a question about banner creation as a fellow Steemian artist- have you created many of them so far here on Steemit or are you just starting? All the best, Klaudia
Hey there Klaudia! Thank you so much for checking this out and uour nice comment. To be honest I’m just starting. I have made two for steemit and one for facebook. On monday I’ll upload the lastest banner design I made so I’d love for you to check it out! Are you planning on doing banners too?
I made one footer for myself so far, it looks like this: https://steemit.com/art/@shinyforest/original-artwork-step-by-step-my-first-custom-footer-for-steemit And yeah, I'm planning to do a custom banner soon :)
Sure, I'd love to check it out!!! I'll try to monitor your blog to make sure I see it!
But if you want you can mention me in the comment maybe, that way there won't be a risk I'll miss it ;)
All the best,
Klaudia
Wow, what an awesome design, I love the cup with the whale and water overflowing. And that lil mermaid chilling on the edge? It's simply...
