LIZA AS DARNA FANART

Darna is a Filipino superhero made by Mars Ravelo for Pilipino Komiks. She was a big hit on comics and soon made it to the big screen. It was such a success and many actresses (and actors) portrayed her on movies and T.V series.
And now Liza Soberano is going to portrey her next. My sister and I was arguing last night when we saw Liza on tv with her new T.V series last night. And thought if she will give justice to the characater of Darna.
Darna is known to be brave, confident and powerful which symbolizes the Filipino women after World War II. That Filipinas are strong independent women. It is Mars Ravelo's way of helping his fellow Filipinos to cope up with the situation. Philippines was so devastated at the moment so he gave us a supehero to save us from misery.
So It made me think. "What would Liza look like in a Darna Costume?"
There's only one way to find out!

I'm gonna show you guys the step by step procedures on making this fanart. This is not a tutorial because I'm just gonna do the same procedures that I did on m last posts. So If you want to know about Vexel art better check out my recent posts. Fot this project I'm aiming to make it like comic-ish. (Is that the right term?hahaha. IDK LOL 😂)




To start, I have to find the perfect picture of Liza but it is kinda hard to look for a high resolution picture to make it easier to photoshop. And I find one on her instagram.


First is the skin. I made some layers for the skin. First layer was the base color. Then the highlights and the shadowed parts.































Next is the lips




























And then the eyes.




























Next is the eyebrows. As you can see I just made it so simple and just use one layer for it.







Next is Darna's iconic headdress. I made a simple drawing first for it and then edit it out to blend it with Liza portait.











































So it is almost finish . Just the background and some few details.











And there you go my fan art Darna Liza.




I am so excited for the next Darna movie. I'm sure Liza is going to be a great Darna. And this is my way of supporting our superhero. #pinoypride
