Artificially aged tree.
There are three main methods for aging wooden surfaces.
The chemical method is suitable only for hardwoods, as they contain tannins. The surface is covered with ammonia. At the same time, it becomes dark, acquiring a characteristic gray shade.
The thermal method can be used to grow a tree of any breed. The surface is treated with stain, then it is fired with a soldering iron before manifesting the natural pattern of the texture. After brushing, the surface is varnished.
Mechanical method (brashing - from the English "brush" brush) is used mainly for coniferous species. In the structure of these trees, the difference between dense (winter) and loose (summer) layers is sharper. And the main operation when aging the tree is peeling along the fibers with a metal brush. The brush removes soft (summer) fibers, as a result of which the dense fibers protrude out. This creates the beauty of the material.
Artificially grow old tree can be at home, armed with desire, imagination and simple tools.
