Some time last year , I was invited for a competition put together by sterling bank plc Nigeria .The competition involved using things that could be recycled to form or make art . Here's a brief picture tale I put together.....shall we begin????
I started by making a rough sketch of what my recycle art entry would be. Since it was going to be according to the zone you represent(RIVERS ZONE) ,I decided to tell my story with the symbolic sea animal, a fish. Cool right??!!
Now for picking the materials for the entry I had to look around. I used plastics and oyster shells(lots of them in my area)...in order to give my ideology form.
I had to use rusted metal to make a frame on where to hold my work together.
Fitting the pices together wasn't easy tho. I had to put them one after the other, and glued them firm.
Now my entry was ready to be sent off to the judges in the capital of Nigeria. YESSS!!!
So after a few weeks I was gladly informed that my entry got to the final stages of the competition. Can you spot me???
I was really excited to be among the 16 finalists in the competition.
I didn't win the recycle art competition but I was glad I was recognized for my hard work.
I see lots and lots of beautiful art works and competition on steemit. Am glad i joined and am happy to be part of this great community.
I'll be posting my recent works here soon.
With love from Nigeria
