'Tesla Wearing Necktie'

You probably don't know that necktie, cravat, was invented by Croats somewhere in 16th century. It was a part of war uniform of the time. The word 'cravat' is a derivative of 'Croat'. Still today, we celebrate our invention that conquered the world and is far and wide considered an inevitable accessory of all business events. You can google more about it if you feel like it.

Still today, we celebrate a "cravat day" and some monuments around the cities are enriched by this cool accessory. This is Nikola Tesla, a world-renowned scientist, one of the greatest of all times, who was born and lived his life in Croatia before he moved on to the world. :) So, he acquired his necktie, as well! :)

The image is accentuated by the strong cravat colour, while the rest is far less coloured. This is to emphasize the importance of the necktie.

Enjoy! :)

As my grandmother used to say: Every day you learn something new! I didn't know there was a ties day, nor did I know that it was you Croatians who invented this garment. I imagine there must be a reason for its creation! It is curious that even in hot countries like mine, there are people who wear ties and that it is a symbol of elegance and sobriety. All that remains for me to say is that Tesla looks great in her tie! Have a good weekend, @velimir.

Dear @velimir sir!
Briefly mentioned about this Necktie and about its origin. In ancient times its importance was in high value because this necktie was used with uniforms. But in the reference of present its shape and size became difference.its place has taken a scarf. For looking smart, people were using it as fashion.celebrating a "cravat day"reminds us that this is the heritage of our ancestors and we should honor it.
Regards

Gentelman :)

Very interesting, @velimir. It is good to find publications that teach something new. I had never thought about where the tie came from and its use, these are the things we see and we only settle for that, just watch them. It is good to know what is the origin of this costume implement that today has a simple decorative purpose associated with elegance, thanks to you for sharing it. Greetings, friend.
