Spider Coccoon

in #art6 years ago (edited)

There was once a spidery contents here but a spider has now put them inside coccoons.... Like Shelob did with Frodo Baggins~ Or maybe like those fleshy things in Aliens before the chestburster bursts out of them~ Yep, like one of those things :D

Prosze BardzoPajak!~

I have no idea about any of those marvel movies so I just avoid them now cos I feel like you probably need to watch them in order. Nice pic though.

thanks choo! i know, there's a lot of superhero movies out there now, haha... it's kinda a golden age for superhero comic book fans, i guess :)

i think some of them can be enjoyed as a stand alone, but since im from the inside looking out, i'm probably a bit biased.

Well, I had no idea who she was. Maybe I'll see her on screen. After seeing her on Steem.

I like the clothes details a lot. They were not in the thumbnail.

Great work dear, i love the fact you had to show us your progress shots, please what materials do you use.

i used printing paper and this $2 fountain pen from DAISO:

Wow i have seen this pen before but haven't used it before. Thanks for sharing dear

She wears a NIN tee? So is it like staged in the nineties? I love NIN, now I kinda like her lol.

I remember when Dr Strange movie came out my sis and I took mom to the movies on her birthday to see it. Hahaha she was like "yeah whatever you wanna see -__- ".
When we came out from the cinema she was like "oh what a nice movie and gorgeous actor (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ" hahaha.

Yep, it's a very 90s movie..... in fact i think it might be the nineties-est movie i've ever seen LOL

hahahah you and your sister so cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute <3 <3 <3

yeah, i made the mistake of kind of just... "writing off" work people as probably "uncool" but turned out it was me who was being stupid. they really enjoyed themselves and some of them are moms and they are super excited when they got out of the theatre, they were like, "oh now i can kinda relate to my kids when they talk about these stuff * __ *"

:D :D :D

VeryNINties? (^▽^) Hahaha. Oh I loved 90s. So much memories.

Yeah I think we all apes have a little of prejudice against others, we put imaginary walls between us. Walls that may got crushed at the drink of a beer in the wild togetherness.

Awesome! Coworker bonding!!! Yuck. Hehe. It’s cool. Hard to connect sometimes. People like to separate work from personal life. I prefer to encourage a family like environment with my employees. We go to ball games and dinners, although there are a few that I know don’t cate for it. Can’t please everyone Spider.

Americanized drawing is nothin I am familiar with. Actually I am not a true fan of super hero movies. I probably don’t give them a chance. I need to go see this movie .. if it’s still out.

I have nothing to compare it to, but your drawing is cool. :-)

Yep, people do! That's why these movie nights are voluntary (which is why i had missed out on the previous one) .... I think making it voluntary works better... :) I am quite an introvert so I tend to keep to myself, but I think it's nice too when you realize that other people aren't quite like how you think of them.

Some of these women I work with are moms with various ages of kids, so I can't relate to them very well, since I have a completely different take on life, like I'm still into anime and superheroes and gaming and a lot of stuff like that, so it's nice to sometimes see that these moms are also .... uh, kinda cool, i guess.

Thanks for comments <3 If you're ever in the mood for some 90s nostalgia, this movie would hit the spot, I've been told by one of the moms XD

Yea, If you have nothing in common except for work, that makes it tough. Being an introvert makes it that much more difficult for sure. You definitely don't act it here, but then again, I only know you as Spider :-) Sometimes its nice not over socializing. then they will expect you out all the time.. then when would you have time to art and post??? lol

Yay for pen resurrection! And being back in pen drawing business XD JJ was keen to go see Captain Marvel, I'm the boring one that's like meh XD

Did you sneak our flag stars into the background?

Yeah, pen lives!!!!!

Yesh, superheroes movies are a bit saturating the market, at the moment, arent they? I can understand ryry's sentiment XD Some of my friends are also not very hype about them, and that's fine, I think.... :D :D :D Everyone has their own kicks~

.... I might have subconsciously sneaked our flag stars, yes :O

Carol looks like such a nice person here :D. I like how soft and fluffy you made her hair xD.

I heard the success of this movie make some people very contemptuous and angry. Not sure why, because I think we ought to celebrate that a woman superhero movie manages to reach 1B. I think it's a great thing, isn't it? :)

She is such a great character in the movie, I totes would like to hang out with her if I could :D

Yeah, I am super stoked to see this movie is doing so well :D :D :D Further, faster, higher !!! :D :D :D

Great work! I like photos the of the drawing process!

Higher, further, faster, baby!

This is a really cool and lovely style, @veryspider! I love this portrait! Well done!

Thanks very much, Trin :)

Oh how charming!
I also saw the movie and I can say that in the drawing, it has the position that the character does, so it's identical !, very good resemblance.
It is a pity what happened to you with the material you always use, but you already have new ones!
I have never used that type of pen, I hope someday I can have it in my box of materials.

thank you, francis <3 you are always very sweet !!! <3

She is really cool @veryspider and I like her shirt :)

Thanks, Donna :D Seems like that band is pretty popular.... haha i onno them though :3

Cool drawing! I really love your drawings I haven't watched it yet. Is it a nice movie? I hope you're doing great this weekend.

Thanks very much :D It was fun, kinda very nineties, in vibes :D

Hope you are doing well too, this weekend :)

Anime or no, @veryspider, that's far better than I could draw at Carol Danvers. :)

I've seen Captain Marvel, too, and will probably need to see it again in order to make an adequate judgment. I came out of it a little underwhelmed, so I think in all fairness, I need to see it again. Probably won't happen until it comes out on streaming (iTunes), and by then, Avengers: Endgame will be out, and probably the next Spider-man, too.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) superhero movies have been a lot of fun, and some of the DC movies have been, too, just not as good. As someone who got into Marvel superhero comics 40 years ago, it's taken a long time to get them to the big screen, but I think it's been well worth it.

To be completely honest, I didn't grow up on comic books. Grew up in Asia and I was a manga and anime kid... so only got to know marvel through the MCU movies so my take might be 'very casual' to people who grew up with the actual comics.

Having said that, I think the movies are really opening up the genre to new audience, and that's.... kinda great? Isnt it? :D

I dont think Captain Marvel made it to my top five MCU movies, but it was a neat film and I think the company I went with improved the viewing :)

Oh, I do think the movies have opened the idea of superhero comics to all kinds of people, and yes, that's most definitely a good thing. I don't know if it's translated into comic book sales, per se, but the MCU has been making money hand over fist. :)

It's crossed my mind a time or two where Captain Marvel might fit if I were to rate it against the others, but I haven't sat down and figured that out yet. I may have to do that. :)

You're right, though. It's hard for me to put it Top 5. Those spots are pretty crowded, but one of the movies up there is bound to fall out because of Endgame. Even if I don't end up liking it the best, it's just to big a movie as far as the MCU for it not to be included. Unless it's a total let down. :) I don't think it will be.

Yeah, I dont know if it would translate to comic book sales, but for me, it is a pretty cool experience to be able to talk about superheroes as an adult and receives less stigma... I heard from the previous generations that this was probably not the case before... hahaha

I think, like you said, the movies do open the IDEA of superhero comics, and that's most definitely a good thing. As for effect on comic book sales, I can only hope that the net effect however marginal it would be, would be a positive one :D

Top 5 is sure crowded! I can't pick 'em myself XD

And yep, Endgame is a contender for a spot, for sure!!!

re: stigma

I was twelve or so when I first started really reading and collecting comics. My Dad thought I was a little old for it, even at twelve. The reason was, he was thinking about comics of his day, which were things like Warner Bros. cartoon characters (Daffy Duck, Bugs Bunny, etc.) or Archie Comics.

I tried to tell him that what I was reading was more than just action or fun, but I don't think I convinced him, and I gave up after a while. Still, he nor my Mom stopped me from using my meager allowance money on them. :)

What's funny is, I'm looking the same way at video games now that my sons are both nearing 30, as my Dad looked upon comic books. It's time for them to give those up, or to at least think about them less. :)

I'm getting old.

hahahah, circle of life??? XD

video game is also becoming something more acceptable now, as a hobby for an adult.... not quite yet at the same level of 'visibility' and acceptance as talking about the next superhero movie in the workplace, but it's getting there, too..... slowly ( i think )

Can't really imagine the future and how our world keeps changing! Sometimes, I sit back and feel quite amazed at how things are so different these days, by generations!

They said in the old days things were mostly the same for hundreds and hundreds of years until about the mid/late 1800s? It is .... very strange to think about ! :D

We're supposed to be approaching or in what they're calling a technologically related singularity, where technology leaps forward beyond what exists now. I can't imagine as fast as things are changing now to have a leap forward like that, but we'll see. I'm not even sure what it's supposed to be, other than maybe AI, which is something I think I'd rather we just not leap forward on. There's too many variables and consequences that need to be very painstakingly considered first.

@veryspider she is very beautiful and stylish.

I do not speak English very well, but the drawing is incredible *. *

Thanks very much! Your English seems really good :D <3 <3 <3

I havent seen Captain Marvel yet but it is on my list to see
