Digital painting - nature

I rarely do landscape paintings/drawings or even backgrounds for my character etc. I noticed a lot of people aren't really into drawing landspaces I wonder why is that? Althoug city life most likely made people that way, they see same streets same buildings. Natural lanscapes, woods start to seem alien and that way so difficult to draw...But then again I kinda hate drawing landscapes and suck at it, but I do see a lot of landscapes and woods daily. I don't enjoy landspaces too much, but this was fun to paint. I think the biggest problem comes when you start to think you won't like doing something , then you won't do it. And who knows maybe you didin't like it in the past, but will like it now?

Is there anything you always try to avoid drawing? :)

Yes, sometimes we have to face down what we do not like and maybe trying to avoid. However, with the break comes a new discovery and oft time a creative freshness and beauty, such as in this case. The frozen landscape exudes in vibrancy and rhythm. The eye is naturally drawn into the hazy denseness of the distant trees where we imagine what colors are hidden beneath there canvas canopy.
Awesome work. Keep doing some more landscapes.
