I decided to make Annabel young ("I was a child and she was a child"); I've seen illustrations where she looks 25, but I'm trying to adhere to Poe's own words insofar as possible. That makes room for her to age over the course of the poem, as well. I'm using a rose motif for Annabel, in the general sense of youth and beauty; Victorian flower meanings were fairly elaborate - more than I need for this project, at any rate.
Maybe I should go back to the titlecard and add a rose to the lovebirds... Cult of Done says no; I'll think about it.
