Watercolor Art - How to paint a girl's face (wearing lipstick)
This is a Speed Art Painting, how to paint a girl's face, all done in watercolor paint. The main idea behind this painting is to illustrate how easy it is to paint a colorful, striking girl's face, using the minimum of lines, with watercolor paints. The secret, in this painting, lies in the sparse, simplistic black outlines giving the suggestion of a face, with strong focus on the eyes and the very red lips. In this case the outlines were done with black paint but you can also use Gel Ballpoint Pens to draw the outlines with.
This painting is done wet on wet, in certain areas, and wet on dry, to create sharp edges in selective areas. There are no real rules here and this is a great painting to be experimental with.
There is no need to invest in expensive materials to get a good result. Our materials are all bought in a regular supermarket here in the North of Thailand. We do not have all the necessary brushes or a wide variety of paint colors, but still, with the basic brushes and paints will you be able to create a cheerful, bright painting.

You can use this art as a card, as an artwork in a frame or even laminate copies of these artworks as placemats. Or even just do this art as a form of meditation to 'go' into a place of solitude. There are no rules. Use this clip only as an inspiration. Should you find certain places in the clip too fast, slow down the playback speed of the clip and mute the music.
